Lahore Qalandars beat Quetta Gladiators in a last-over thriller despite a strong comeback

Lahore Qalandars kept their nerves and won a close match against Quetta Gladiators by 9 runs in PSL 11 at Gaddafi Stadium.

Quetta were chasing 198 runs and finished at 188-7 in 20 overs. They started well but couldn’t finish the job.

Openers Shamyl Hussain and captain Saud Shakeel gave a solid start. Saud made 17 runs, while Shamyl played a strong innings of 53 runs from 31 balls.

Then Rilee Rossouw took control and scored a quick 62 runs off 29 balls, keeping Quetta in the match. But after his wicket, the team lost momentum as wickets started falling.

In the last over, Quetta needed 19 runs. Haris Rauf bowled with great control and gave away only 9 runs, helping Lahore win the match. Abrar Ahmed stayed not out on 24 but couldn’t take his team to victory.

Earlier, Lahore posted 197-6. Fakhar Zaman was the star, scoring an excellent 103 runs from 51 balls. He hit shots all around the ground and was named Player of the Match.

Charith Asalanka supported him well with 31 runs, and together they built a strong partnership.

Quetta tried hard in the chase, but Lahore’s bowlers handled the pressure better and secured an important win.
