A shocking incident has come from Lahore, where three young children were found murdered inside their home in the Ichhra area on Thursday.
According to police, the victims — five-year-old Momina Batool, four-year-old Momin Raza, and one-and-a-half-year-old Umme Habiba — were killed with a sharp weapon. Their throats had been slit.
Police and rescue teams reached the house after receiving a call on the emergency helpline. The bodies were later shifted to a hospital for post-mortem.
Initial reports say the children’s parents had locked the house and gone out to buy medicines from a nearby store. When they returned, they found their children dead inside.
Police have taken the children’s paternal uncle into custody on suspicion, while the investigation continues.
Toqeer Naeem said that evidence is being collected from the crime scene and the case is being investigated from different angles.
Meanwhile, Abdul Kareem took notice of the incident and asked for a detailed report from the Lahore police.
He also directed senior officers to arrest those responsible as soon as possible and use all available resources.
Police spokesperson said that forensic teams and senior officers visited the scene and collected important evidence.
